History

Not raised as independent unit, since in September 1912 its 1st division replaced 2nd division of 1st Artillery Regiment, while its 2nd Division was assigned to 11th Artillery Regiment

Raised as 2nd not QF artillery division in September 1915 at the mobilization

Rearmed with 105mm QF mountain howitzers and became the 3rd artillery division of the 12th artillery regiment on 15 April 1916 (Field Army Order N° 271) – its three batteries had only 2 howitzers

Become 1st artillery division of the 27th artillery regiment on 31 November 1917 (Field Army Order N° 1174)
