History

Not raised as independent unit, in September 1912 along with 3rd division of the 4th Artillery Regiment formed 10th Artillery Regiment assigned to the 10th Mixed Infantry Division

Raised as 6th not QF artillery division in September 1915 at the mobilization

Rearmed with 75mm QF field guns Krupp (Brazilian) and become the 3rd artillery division of the 12th artillery regiment on 28 February 1916 (Field Army Order N° 227)
