Raised with Decree N° 1/1 January 1892 as Sofiyski Fortress Battalion from Sofiyska fortress battery

Became Sofiyski Fortress Regiment with Decree N° 96/31 December 1914

4 October 1915 : designed 1st Heavy Artillery Regiment
